The ambience is great, the beer garden is very original, food from traditional snacks to Bavarian warm delicacies, even real fried potatoes, the waiter is very nice, attentive ... Price-performance ratio fits.

Service was ok, not overly committed, but not a disaster either. The food is unfortunately not to our taste. There was schnitzel (my husband) and fish for me. Unfortunately, everything tasted just as much of fat as it was oozing with fat. My fish was fried in fat, which would be ok. The cream was unfortunately no longer a nice, healthy vegetable side dish and the potatoes were also fried and soaked with fat. It didn't taste like the actual meal. Unfortunately not our taste at all ...

In my view one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the area. The snack and beer were delicious. There is an extra point for the nice service. Worth a visit despite corona restrictions.

It was our first time in the beer garden. Very cozy and pleasant, friendly staff. Adequate menu with pleasant prices. You can conveniently pay cashless at the table. You simply have to recommend the beer garden.

After our visit to the nearby furniture store, we stopped off at the Alte Post. The service was extremely friendly and brisk. The food tasty and reasonably priced. The ambience typical of such a restaurant - rustic, yet cozy. It will certainly not be our last visit. Clear recommendation!

Very friendly, they take all kinds of credit cards, which is important if you travel with limited euros, good food and beer!

Most beautiful place i have seen so far in this area. Awesome food and delicous beer. Waiters explaining the food in perfect english for me and my business partners so it was a pleasure for us having dinner in your bavarian Restaurant. Five stars and a recomendation for sure. All the best Peter

Nice beer garden. Service was ok. Portion of my Käsespätzle was more for children.

Since we live just a few hundred meters away from Alte Post, we were so excited when it reopened...until we actually went. Our first attempt ended before it really started as it took the waitress 10 mins to attend to our table and 20 mins until we received our drinks. We shook it off as, “they’re just opening up and have some bugs to work out...we’ll try again another time once they figure things out”. So, two months later we figured we would try again. This time we were “welcomed” by the wait staff ignoring us when we asked for a table. Then when we sorted a table ourselves, we did not get service for about 10 mins. Ok, it was a hot day and they were pretty full...again, we would cut them some slack. Our waitress was nice enough (that’s why they get 2 stars and not 0) and tried her best. However, when the food came it was really substandard (which is a shame because it was so good 10 years ago!), totally expensive and we were charged full price for the child portion we ordered, and were charged for tap water for our daughter. We were told she was getting the child portion of food and that the water would be free. When the waitress was confronted about this she said, “there wasn’t an option for the child portion when I was booking the food...it doesn’t exist”. And, if you look at the menu you see that the Käsespatzle does in fact come in a child portion for a cheaper price. And charging for tap water would be fine if when we asked for it we were told this would be the case (1.50€ for 0.2). All in all, my family and I are super bummed that we can’t frequent Alte Post due to the poor service, lacking food quality, and high prices. We were so looking forward to making that our regular place. However, if you want to go there just for a beer - then it’s probably fine....
